This page has information on my General Art TOS, my TOS regarding my designs, my TOS regarding my bases, and my blacklist.

General Art TOS:


When you commission me, buy one of my designs, art trade with me, or engage in any transaction where you will receive my art / creations, you are agreeing to my T.O.S.
If a rule is broken once by an individual, I will do my best to let them know, direct them to my T.O.S., and hope they abide by it in the future. Repeated offenses will lead to a blacklist. Red rules = You're instantly blacklisted, no warning.

If you are blocked / blacklisted, do not try to contact me / appeal.

You may NOT, EVER, use my art to train genAI datasets or do anything related to NFTs, crypto, or generative AI. My art or designs may not ever be traded for any cryptocurrency.


You may Not edit my work to be hateful, especially towards marginalized groups. No hateful symbols, flags, or slurs.



I reserve the right to deny any commission I am not comfortable with, without explanation.

I reserve the right to use my artwork on my profiles as examples / in my galleries.

You may Not edit my artwork to be NSFW, even references.

You may Not edit my artwork to have SFW nudity if it is not already included.

You may Not repost my personal artwork to any public websites or social media without express written permission.

You may right click + save my artwork to a personal device. (if you do this, i'd prefer you put my username in the filename somewhere, but its not a hard rule)

You may use my artwork as desktops / lockscreens.

You may Not trace my work & attempt to pass it off as your own.

If you privately trace my work for practice, I don't mind. If you want to post it, credit me. I do not recommend trying to learn off of only my artwork, though, & i have links to resources that might be more useful for you if you're trying to learn. (& honestly if you feel you Do make something inspired by something i do, maybe tag me i wanna see :3)

You may Not use my art for commercial purposes / with monetary gain in mind, unless previously discussed & agreed upon, and permission is given in writing.

If my art / designs are gifted to you, they may retain their approximate value. Either what the design was originally worth, the value of the art in my commissions at the time it was made, or your nearest Guess. If there is truly no history or anything to go off of, you can reach out to me and ask, or value it at something below $50.



Commission Artwork TOS:



I do not do deadlined work.

I do not do refunds.

My art style is not always consistent, and especially if months have passed, it may be difficult for me to match style with an older piece. I will not attempt to match work that is over a year old.

If you own the character the piece belongs to, you may upload my art to social media with credit.
- You may also use the art on a website of your own with HTML, such as a neocities, rentry, or your own site. I would Prefer to still have credit in some way, even if it's via title text or a hyperlink.

If you do not own the character / commission, you may Not use the piece as your profile picture on any website. (Unless express permission is given by the commissioner/character owner)
- You don't need to credit me in a bio or anything if using my work as a pfp. If someone asks, direct them to me :3!

You may Not trace my commission work.

You may edit my artwork, if you own the character it belongs to. This includes altering the design, making the image transparent, using the piece in a collage, or drawing clothing / accessories on.
- If a piece is edited to be transparent & it removes the signature, please make sure I am clearly credited when the image is used / posted.
- If a piece is edited, please make sure the original unaltered version still exists with the character listing, and is passed onto the next owner if the character is traded / sold.

When asking for changes to a commission during the commission process, please ask for all of the changes at once, and please be sure and decisive about the changes you want. We can explore a little bit to find your commission, especially during the sketching phase, but repeated corrections cost me time and energy.
- this is not necessarily applicable to customs. Don't let this make you afraid to ask for changes with those.

I will not write words in languages I can't read.

Strongly religious artwork

Strongly political, especially right-leaning. This does not include the Existence of politicized marginalized groups. I'll draw trans people every single day of the week. Never a cop.

Cops. Even non-american.

If you're asking for anything Unwholesome involving children characters, I don't want to do it. Violence, drugs, even angst.

In general, if something is too touchy or emotional for me, I probably won't want to do it. Especially for strangers.

Please keep in mind that this list is not condemning everything I won't draw, I just don't feel comfortable attempting to depict and draw some things, especially for money.



Design TOS:



*I* am fine with you colorpicking my designs, but you need to ask the actual owner and get their permission Too. Not just mine.

If you own a design, you may change it to suit your tastes. Please make sure the original design, even if hidden, is still stored & is passed on to the next owner.

To clarify the previous point: You may make drastic design changes and interpret a design / character as you see fit. It does not have to resemble the original design, but please do not split redesigns into separate characters, Especially if it's based on the original design.

Do not sell my designs for more than you got them for, unless you acquired extra art of them since you got them. Your own personal art value may count towards the characters worth.

Do not name my designs after slurs, please.

Do not claim any character that I created / designed as your own design, even if radical design changes have taken place. Do not remove my credit.

Do not delete my designs off of toyhou.se.

I do not revoke designs.

I am not responsible for how my designs are used. I do my best to not interact with users who clearly have motivations misaligned to mine, but I do not claim responsibility over how the characters are used / the stories they are used to portray. Do not associate other users stories with me & my beliefs.



Base TOS:



Please do not forget to credit me! Especially on bases without signatures! I sometimes leave them off for a cleaner base, and I'm relying on you to carry on the credit!

When using my bases on toyhou.se, please credit the account @snigh, this is my side account and where I prefer my base credits going! If you credit my main account on toyhouse & it shows up in my gallery, I'll move the credit over myself. You are also free to do the "offsite credit" and put "https://toyhou.se/vehemourn".

If using my bases off of toyhou.se, please credit me with simply "vehemourn" or "https://toyhou.se/vehemourn" or "vehemourn on toyhouse".

You are welcome to make adopts with all of my bases

You can put your own characters on my bases

You can edit my bases (as long as the signature remains, if applicable)
* Do not edit my bases to be nsfw

You can cut up my bases / use them in combination with other art pieces / bases (if allowed by the other artists work)

You can move the signature, as long as it remains visible.

You can put your own signature on too, if you'd like.

Base-fills will have limited permissions in the future, but for now please do not use my bases for basefills / commissions (5/4/2026) If you have interest in this, let me know and I'll focus on setting it up quicker, but it's not currently a priority. Customs are allowed on my bases. The distinction to me is that basefills / commissions are someone paying you to put an existing character on my bases, as opposed to paying you to Design something like a custom.

Do not resell my bases.

Do not redistribute my paid bases for free.

You may redistribute my free bases, with credit.

You can buy a base for your friend

Blacklist:


Anyone on my blacklist is not permitted to do business with me, interact with me, or attempt to own my designs. If a blacklisted user owns one of my designs Before they were blacklisted, they may keep them, and simply not acquire any more. A blacklisted user may not use my bases. A blacklisted user may not use my art on any of their main profile pages. Do Not attempt to help these users communicate with me or acquire my work. Do not associate my name with these users.

not rules, but moreso guidelines on how i do things & what you can expect, especially for adopts:

For adopts, once I accept an offer, someone can't beat the winning offer with a higher offer

If there is an AB, you Can Offer higher than the AB, but once someone makes the AB it goes to them. It can't be beat out with a higher offer.
but it Can be beat out if someone offers AB with a payment plan (not an Instant accept) & someone else offers AB upfront (instant accept)

I typically leave adopts up for at least 24 hours before accepting a bid, even if there's an offer i like!

Once I accept your offer, I'll wait for 24-48 hours usually before giving another bump, and if I get no response I'll put the character back up for offer. I don't mind waiting for the end of workdays & like, over a sleep period LOL I get it, if you take a minute I'll usually assume you're just afk, but don't make me wait Too long please :p

I dont always like to do holds X( id rather take a lower offer without a hold, Especially from a stranger. I'm much more willing to consider holds for usernames I recognize + people who have made purchases in the past.

I'm very patient waiting for art for me :3! A quick turn around makes an offer much more appealing to me, but I can also be Patient and wait if you need time! Just dont forget about me :3!


A lot of my goals with art involve sharing my work, building community, and inspiring creativity. I'm kind of turned off when people use my art / reputation to try and make a quick buck, and it feels like there is a lack of respect for the humanity in my work. Please understand that I am a person who enjoys sharing my work with you, but I do not enjoy being stepped on. I am patient and kind, please do not use that as a means to disrespect me and my work.
